Jesus Calms the Storm
After a long day of preaching and doing great miracles, Jesus was very tired.
“Let’s go to the other side of the lake,” Jesus said.
There was a man there that he wanted to heal.
So they left the crowd and climbed into a boat. Soon, they were sailing across the calm water. The sky was blue, and everything felt peaceful.
After a while, Jesus lay down in the boat and fell asleep.
But suddenly… the wind began to blow.
At first it was just a little breeze… then it grew stronger… and stronger!
WHOOSH! 🌬️
The waves started crashing against the boat. Water splashed inside. The boat rocked back and forth.
The disciples were afraid.
“Help! We’re going to sink!” they cried.
The storm was loud and scary. The wind howled, and the waves rose high like mountains. The disciples tried to steady the boat but nothing worked. Their hearts heavily pounding.
But Jesus was still asleep.
The disciples rushed over and shook Him.
“Lord! Save us!” they shouted. “We’re going to drown!”
Jesus opened His eyes and looked at them calmly.
“Why are you afraid?” He asked gently. “Do you still not trust Me?”
Then Jesus stood up in the boat.
He looked at the wind.
He looked at the waves.
And He said, “Quiet! Be still !”
Instantly—everything stopped.
The wind became quiet.
The waves became smooth.
The storm disappeared.
The lake was calm again… just like before.
The disciples looked around in amazement.
“Who is this?” they whispered to each other. “Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”
They realized something very important:
We can trust Jesus every time, even when we are afraid.
