Following Jesus
Peter loved his job! He was a fisherman!
On workdays, Peter, his father and his brother Andrew would toss their big nets into the lake and pull up many wriggling fish.
Long ago, the prophet Isaiah said that one day God would send His Son to save the world. Peter believed God would keep His promises.
Do you believe God’s promises?
Repeat after me: "I believe God's promises."
Andrew’s Exciting News!
Andrew came running to Peter one day with some exciting news.
“Peter! I met Him! I met the Savior!”, Andrew said.
Andrew had heard John the Baptist say that Jesus was the savior. God’s very own son.
Both brothers loved God very much and wanted to know more about Jesus.

When Jesus started to choose his 12 disciples, who do you think he chose first?
God sent Jesus to the Sea of Galilee one day to where Peter and Andrew were.
They were casting a net into the lake.
Follow me. Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men.
At once they left their nets and followed him.
Two More Brothers
Farther down the shore were two more fishermen, James,his brother John and father Zabedee.
They too had heard about Jesus.
When Jesus called them, they left their nets with their father in their boat and followed Him too.
The Most Important Choice
Jesus chose these humble fishermen to be His disciples.
They left their nets, their boats, and their jobs because following Jesus was more important than anything else.
And that is still the most important choice anyone can make:
