God’s Kingdom - Parable
🌱 Jesus Teaches About God’s Kingdom
One day, a big crowd gathered around Jesus.
They came from towns and villages to hear Him speak. Some stood, some sat, and some even climbed into trees just to see Him better!
Jesus looked at the people and smiled.
He had something very important to teach them.
But instead of giving a long, hard lesson, Jesus chose a special way to teach.
He used parables.
📖 What Is a Parable?
It uses things we understand—like seeds, water, and people—to explain something about God.
Jesus loved using parables because they helped people see and understand God’s kingdom.
🌾 The Parable of the Mustard Seed
Jesus said,
“The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed.”
Now a mustard seed is very, very small—so small you could almost lose it in your hand!
“But,” Jesus said,
“when it is planted, it grows and grows until it becomes a big tree.”
Soon, birds can come and sit in its branches.
🌟 What Does That Mean?
Jesus was teaching them something amazing.
God’s kingdom on Earth started with the first disciples. They were the first tiny seeds.
But as more people accept Jesus and become Christians, God places his Holy Spirit inside of them and they too become a part of God's Kingdom.
Just like the huge mustard tree, God’s kingdom is growing.
It is our job to tell more people about Jesus so that they too can accept him.
Then God’s kingdom can grow even more.
❤️ What Can We Learn?
Jesus wanted everyone to understand:
God’s kingdom is real
Every Christian is a part of God’s Kingdom
More people join God’s kingdom everyday.
Question: If we are not a part of God's kingdom, whose kingdom are we in?
